FOXBORO — There’s no such thing as a moral victory in the NFL, or at least there’s no column for it in the standings, but wide receiver Kendrick Bourne was encouraged by the Patriots’ performance after their 25-20 loss to the Eagles in Week 1.Facing a 16-0 deficit early in the game, the Patriots did bounce back against the reigning NFC champions even if ultimately it was not enough in the end.“We definitely feel like we can play with any team,” Bourne said. “Just keep improving every day, not feeling like we arrived. Thousands of Massachusetts residents remain without power following a storm that ravaged the Bay State beginning on Friday evening.National Grid officials announced that power was restored to more than 60,000 residents throughout the state as of Sunday morning. By Sunday evening, approximately 12,000 customers remained without power. The majority of those were in Andover and North Andover, according to an outage map maintained by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.The North Andover Town’s online announcement page included an update Sunday, saying they are working with National Grid and that the area outages were expected to be resolved Sunday. CAIRO (AP) — A drone attack Sunday on an open market south of Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, killed at least 43 people, activists and a medical group said, as the military and a powerful rival paramilitary group battle for control of the country.More than 55 others were wounded in the attack in Khartoum’s May neighborhood, where paramilitary forces battling the military were heavily deployed, the Sudan Doctors’ Union said in a statement. APD responded to 'recreational jumper' at Pennybacker Bridge

AUSTIN (KXAN) — According to the Austin Fire Department, water rescue assets assisted the Austin Police Department with an investigation of a recreational jumper off the Pennybacker bridge Sunday afternoon. AFD posted on social media that the person was found safe. 'Seen our share of incidents'The bridge stands 100 feet above Lake Austin. Even at such tall heights, Austin Travis County EMS said people continue to jump off it. "Through the years, we've certainly seen our share of incidents of folks jumping from the bridge and even from the upper structures of the bridge," said ATCEMS Public Information Officer Captain Darren Noak. While rare, Noak said it does happen. The most recent incident was Sunday afternoon. "Today's incident resulted in no injuries and no need for either evaluation or transport," Noak said.
