Albany man charged with damaging statue on Lark Street

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man has been charged with knocking over and damaging a statue outside a Lark Street restaurant, according to police. Devin Brewington, 28, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! On June 23 at 11:00 a.m., police responded to Villa di Como Ristorante, located at 286 Lark Street in Albany, for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival, officers say they were informed that someone had intentionally tipped over the statue at 1:30 a.m., causing it to break. Following an investigation, detectives identified Brewington as a suspect. He was then taken into custody at 1:30 p.m. in the area of Madison Avenue and Trinity Place. LOUIS - One person is dead, and six people were injured after multiple shootings and a stabbing unfolded overnight across the St. Louis metro area.The first incident happened at 4:30 p.m., where a man was shot in the abdomen on the 8700 block of North Broadway. At 9:00 p.m., a woman was shot and killed on the 4400 block of Kennerly Avenue.At midnight, a man was shot in the leg on Leduc Street, and a second victim was grazed by a bullet. Fire rips through mobile home community in Costa Mesa

A massive fire in Costa Mesa engulfed a mobile home and threatened several nearby homes and businesses on Saturday evening. According to an Instagram post by Costa Mesa Fire Rescue, crews arrived to find the fire tearing through a mobile home in the 1600 block of Whittier Avenue and rapidly spreading towards neighboring residences and businesses. Costa Mesa Fire Rescue crews worked through blocked access and downed power lines with assistance from Newport Beach Fire Department to contain the blaze and prevent it from progressing.  Fire breaks out on roof of Target in Northridge “All of the occupants of the directly impacted units were safely evacuated, as were all occupants of the threatened units,” Costa Mesa Fire Rescue said. “A total of three to five individuals were ultimately displaced due to the direct or collateral impacts of the fire.” CMFR is working with the Red Cross to arrange for immediate housing and other needs for those impacted by the fire. The caus...
