Motorcyclist killed in Riverside crash

A motorcyclist was killed early Sunday morning in Riverside following a crash with another vehicle.The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Madison Street, according to the Riverside Police Department.Police and paramedics arrived on scene and found a motorcyclist down with major injuries. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.They've been identified only as a 66-year-old resident of Riverside.Investigators believe that the crash was caused by a 2010 Lexus sedan that turned in front of the motorcyclist on Indiana Avenue. The Lexus remained on scene and has been cooperating with the investigation, police said.The driver and two occupants in the Lexus were uninjured. A passenger riding on the back of the motorcycle suffered moderate injuries.The crash is under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact Riverside Police Traffic Detective M. Pedestrian killed by car in Rialto

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Rialto Thursday.The pedestrian, identified as 35-year-old Marvin Molina of Rialto, was hit on the 900 block of N. Riverside Avenue around 8:40 p.m.According to the Rialto Police Department, Molina was walking across the roadway outside of a crossing walk when he was hit by a Nissan Sentra driven by a 34-year-old San Bernardino woman.Police arrived at the scene minutes later and found Molina dead from his injuries. The driver of the Sentra was uninjured. She remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and police do no suspect drugs or alcohol contributed in the collision.Anyone with information about the deadly crash is urged to contact Rialto Police Traffic Sergeant Dan Smith at 909-644-6025. (KRON) -- One person died and others were injured after a 'major' collision in San Jose on Sunday afternoon, according to the San Jose Police Department. Two dead after plane crash off the coast of Half Moon Bay The call reporting the collision came in at 1:38 p.m. One vehicle overturned in the crash near Fruitdale and Leigh Avenues. The scene is still considered active, and some road closures were in place. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. It is unclear at this time how many people have been injured in the collision. A photo from the scene shows two mangled vehicles, one of which landed on its top on the street corner.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Graham Rahal was bumped from the Indianapolis 500 field by Jack Harvey, who used a last-ditch qualifying run Sunday to knock his teammate out of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” by a mere .007 mph. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan organization was in a terrible position headed into the last-chance qualifying session because all three of its fulltime drivers were in the bottom four. The final three spots in the 33-car field were to be decided by Rahal, son of team owner Bobby Rahal, Christian Lundgaard, Harvey and Sting Ray Robb of Dale Coyne Racing.
