DENVER (KDVR) -- It's always good to know about new laws, and on Aug. 7, hundreds of laws passed in the spring are going into effect.Most of them are procedural and won't directly affect many Coloradans, but there are a few that will. KJ Hamler waived by Broncos, diagnosed with heart issue

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) -- The road back on the football field is never easy after injury.Denver Broncos wide receiver K.J. Hamler knows all about the bumps. The Broncos waived Hamler with a non-football injury designation Monday. The 24-year-old posted on Instagram that he has been dealing with chest pains while working out before camp started. Broncos’ Tim Patrick injures left Achilles after missing last year with torn right ACL "I will be back on the field—better and stronger than ever—as soon as possible this season! I feel great physically and this is very frustrating for me to deal with," he wrote. Wanted man flees from BSO and climbs tree in Dania Beach, attempting to escape

Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators are trying to take a man in custody after running from deputies and climbing a large tree at a Dania Beach cemetery, in an unlikely bid to get away. 7News’ Skyforce is hovering over the scene where BSO deputies are attempting to capture the man up in the tree at the West Lawn Cemetery on 1251 Southeast 12th Street. Several paramedics, officers and firefighters are at the scene.The suspect was wanted for a felony and fled from officers. A witness said the wanted man was at a nearby corner store where police approached him and he then ran and jumped the fence of the cemetery and scaled the tree.Authorities have brought out their ladder trucks, but the suspect refuses to come down. People in the area told 7News that the situation has been going on for about two-and-a-half hours. Suspect in deadly Hyde Park hit-and-run turns himself in to police

A man wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Hyde Park earlier this month has turned himself in, police said. Authorities announced around 3 p.m. Monday that Olguens Joseph was wanted on multiple charges, including Motor Vehicle Homicide by Negligent Operation, after 4-year-old Ivan Pierre was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wood Avenue on Tuesday, July 18.Police confirmed later Monday afternoon that Joseph had turned himself in.A family member of the victim told 7NEWS the crash happened as the family gathered to see the boy’s mother’s new car that night around 9:30 p.m. on July 18. Pierre’s uncle, Heroldy Limage, said the boy’s mother had just got home.“I think that’s when my nephew snuck out and nobody really saw when he did,” Limage told reporters. “Next thing, there was an impact that everyone heard outside. Preparations were underway in Foxboro Monday ahead of Beyonce’s planned concert at Gillette Stadium this week. The star is set to take the stage on Tuesday. On Monday afternoon, SKY7-HD captured video of crews assembling the stage itself.Beyonce will be at Gillette Stadium as part of her ongoing Renaissance World Tour. Her show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.The MBTA is running a special event train from Boston to Foxboro for the Beyonce concert and recently announced 150 new tickets for the train that went on sale at 3 p.m. Monday. Those interested in buying a concert train ticket can do so through the MBTA Commuter Rail’s mTicket app. Outside Foxboro, major music tours are also scheduled to come to Fenway Park this week, with Pink taking the stage on Monday and Tuesday and Fall Out Boy performing on Wednesday.

Gas prices jumped a dime in Massachusetts during the past week, driven higher by increases in the price of oil, experts say.The average price at the pump hit $3.67 in the latest survey, according to AAA, a full ten cents higher than a week ago and 12 cents higher than a month ago,“Gas demand, meaning people fueling up, remains tepid. It’s lower now than at this time last year and in 2021,” said Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast’s Vice President of Public and Government Affairs. “But while the heat may be keeping some folks home, it also suppresses refinery production, according to experts. Constrained supplies and a higher cost of oil are tipping the balance toward rising pump prices for now.”Gas prices in Massachusetts remain lower than the national average, which hit $3.75 in the most recent survey.
