Irrigation Details

The ELT Easy Green™ Living Wall System is designed to work with a standard drip irrigation system. The diagrams below illustrate how a ¼" emitter line can be inserted horizontally between the living wall panels either every row or every second row depending on the plant choices and micro climate of the job site. The panels are designed to allow the water to flow from cell to cell within the panel and from panel to panel within the wall. The water flows internally within the panels. The water flows from the top grooves in each panel, through the subsequent grooves, until it reaches to bottom of the panel where it drips out from the drainage channels and into the panel below. Irrigation systems are designed with automatic timers for ease of use.

Whether you are irrigating one panel or one hundred panels ELT offers a full range of options to suit your project. For single panels there are irrigation drip and collection trays and for larger installations we recommend automatic irrigation systems. For automatic irrigation systems you will need a water source available near the wall and also a drain detail below the wall. If the irrigation is managed properly very little water will drain out of the panels. The drain details shown below are meant as fail safe only. Contact us today to begin planning your living wall.
